One of the weakest points in most of the smartphones in the market is its radio player. Some of them requires headphones to be played, some others are too simple or too regional restricted. If you enjoy listening to the radio, specific apps are the best solution. Internet Radio is one of the best (and most downloaded) radio apps on the market, due to its simplicity, its worldwide approach and some other features I'm going to name next.
Thus, Internet Radio allows you to apply a country filter (20+ to choose among) or select "all countries" to display all the radio stations available. Radio stations are organized by categories: pop, rock, humor, relax, meditation, anime, religion, sport... and many other topics. However, the topics depend on the countries too. In other words, you won't find all the same categories in some countries, due to either there aren't radio stations focused on that topic or (more likely) the app doesn't include any radio station in that category.
There's no need to use headphones to listen to the radio stations, which is really appreciated. You can favorite radio stations and access all of them from a "favorite" button on the dock. You can search any specific radio station from the search bar and finally, you can adjust buffer from settings. The latter is recommended since cuts are quite usual, even over WiFi. Some other feature are available only if you upgrade to the Pro version: remove ads, enhance quality stream, set the timer and record channels.
The app doesn't stand out on the design side. However, it is quite easy to access all the sections, switch between countries and manage stations from the dock. Recommended.
